calm

I don’t know what’s going on this year, but it’s strangely peaceful in these parts.

I’m just hanging out wrapping some presents watching House of DVF wondering why I did all of my holiday baking gluten free, because now I can and will eat it.

I feel like this year we’ve hit our Christmas groove. We know what traditions are important to us. We’ve given ourselves plenty of time to enjoy the things that makes the holidays special for our family. I don’t feel pulled in a million different directions. Even the grocery store parking lot didn’t get me too fired up.

We’ve stocked and shopped and cleaned and wrapped. We’ve prepared our home and our hearts for the days ahead. My youngest son sings the Twelve Day of Christmas incessantly. We are more than ready.

I’ll be taking a few weeks off the blog and taking a step away from social media but will be back in 2015 with some new stuff that I just know you are going to love.

Here are two more holiday favorites to hold you over:

Something to make you laugh: Where’s the Spirit?

Something to make you think: What Will You Bring?

For now, I’m off to get my annual pre-Christmas pedicure that I try to make last until daylight savings time.

Have a very real holiday.
