what will you bring?

holiday-star

I’ve got giving on my mind. And the new year. And I’m really amped up for both.

And somehow, I’ve managed to keep the spending and the shopping and the mania under control. Fingers crossed with two weeks left.

(If you’re feeling the pull to do more, check out my posts on finding the balance and three things at the center of our holiday.)

And with this extra time and space, I’m zooming out.

Way, way out. I’m looking at the big picture.

I’m looking at a warm shelter after many said no.

I’m looking at a mother giving birth to a child.

I’m looking at our true gifts and what we contribute. Every day.

I’m looking into a new year that promises to have more opportunities for real connection.

To myself and the world around me.

And if you can find a little corner, a cup of tea, a quiet moment, I hope you can do the same.

Because that is where the joy is. And the peace. That is the magic.

Here’s a simple question you can ask yourself at the start of each day.

What will I bring to this season?

authenticity, family life gifts, holiday, joy, magic, meaning, peace
