awesome

Don’t wait another minute.

If you’ve

had someone on your mind

enjoyed something they’ve made

missed them being around

been inspired by their strength

Tell them. Thank them.

I’ll even give you a template:

You made my day with your ___________. Thanks for being so awesome.

Your friends, your family, your kids, your spouse.

They need to hear it. They want to hear it.

You might think that they already know.

But everyone needs to be reminded.

Be grateful. Be real. Be present.

You have more power than you know.

Did I steal that from that new Apple commercial?

Whatever.

You get the point.

Awesome idea. I’m totally going to use this at work where I feel like we all focus on what someone did wrong but never celebrate the “rights” or the “great jobs” or, sometimes, just the “great effort with showing up at work today” because, y’know, sometimes that’s an accomplishment in itself. And it feels good when someone notices!

Would you believe that I woke up in the middle of the night and was thinking I should add colleague to this post? And then of course forgot all about it this morning until I saw your comment. And yes, I totally agree that showing up is more than half the battle and deserves acknowledgement too.
