I like Mondays. Don’t roll your eyes at me.

Sure the weekends are great, doing what everyone else wants to do, more dishes, more togetherness.

But on Monday, it’s back to my little routine. And I like it.

Today is a good Monday, because I have a post up on Scary Mommy:

15 Lies I’ve Told About My Parenting.

If you’re not familiar with Scary Mommy, it is a humor site. So everything is to be taken with a giant grain of salt. As in, this post is a joke.

Scary Mommy is not only a humor site, it is one of the biggest mom humor sites getting like a gazillion visits every month. The editor there is known for giving out a gazillion friendly no thank you’s. You can imagine that I almost fell on the floor when I got a yes.

This had been an interesting experience for me. The audience is considerably bigger than I’ve experienced and with more exposure comes more criticism. Apparently, this kind of humor is not everyone’s cup of tea. That hasn’t been easy for this girl who wants everyone to like her. I’ve had to grow a thicker skin overnight.

Just another step in the journey.

Have a great Monday! Countdown to turkey!
