Blockbuster is closing all if its stores and my first reaction was “They still have stores?” And frankly I was more interested in the Twitter IPO and the CEO of lululemon sticking his foot in his mouth (pending my future ambassadorship and all). Then I read this article about video stores, and it brought me right back to Turtles in the Killearn Shopping Center. It’s weird to realize that there are parts of my childhood that my kids will never know a thing about. RIP Blockbuster. If you lived your youth in video stores, read this from The Atlantic – I Loved You Blockbuster.

And now back to Twitter. I could go on and on about my love/hate relationship with Twitter, but for today all I’m going to say is follow @ShitGirlsSay. It never fails to crack me up.

I think I’ve made it pretty clear that I’m a feel-good, spiritual junkie, so you won’t be surprised that I’m feeling the love for The Daily Love.  I just came across this site this week, and was immediately sucked in by this article about dreams taking hard work.

And just as I was about to hit Publish on this baby, I hopped over to So How Was Your Day and discovered The Science of Happiness a video series produced by Soul Pancake (who also brought you Kid President). Start with the Gratitude episode and your homework for the weekend is to show gratitude to the people you love. Which will in turn make you more happy.

Have a very real weekend.
